Overview
Les Petits is a new luxury chocolatier, based in Paris. Using an artisanal “bean to bar” method, Les Petits meticulously sources the finest organically grown cocoa beans from around the world to deliver premium-quality chocolate to a discerning customer base.
What sets Les Petits apart is its unexpectedly eye-catching and finely wrapped packaging, like chocolate caviar that may be enjoyed with a traditional mother-of-pearl spoon. The brand takes a chic approach to the chocolate industry. Les Petits targets upper-middle class consumers, aged 25-55, looking for a fun, unconventional alternative.
Solution
To effectively communicate the sophisticated personality of the brand, I created a hand-drawn calligraphic logo. I used unique serif typefaces Aviano Royale, for its rich calligraphic capitals, and Surveyor, for its delicate serifs. These were paired with Sweet Sans, an extended sans that is inspired by the drafting alphabets of the early 1900s.
The main brand colors are royal emerald green, vintage burgundy, luscious orange and seductive purple. When accompanied by black and white typefaces, they create a well-balanced contrast throughout the design. The unusual arching graphic shapes dress up the packaging. The brand expresses luxury and sophistication.

Logotype
To convey the brand's intricate personality, I drew inspiration from Parisian calligraphy books and crafted a hand-drawn logo. This logo was then paired with an extended sans-serif font inspired by lettering styles of the early 1900s.
